What 'made to order' actually means

Nothing at TORRI exists until you order it. Each piece begins as rough-sawn boards, air-dried and then brought to equilibrium in our atelier for two weeks before a single cut.
Weeks one and two are milling and joinery. Weeks three and four, assembly and first sanding. Then finishing — three coats, each hand-rubbed and left to cure. The last week is quality checks, photography, and crating in recycled packaging.
The wait is not a delay. It is the process working at the only speed that produces furniture worth keeping.
